The new Learning Center and practice facilities at Frederica were designed to build your confidence and deepen your understanding of the game. This is also a great place to spend time with friends, chipping the green while you share your passion for the game, or watch the professionals as they hone their skills on our Frederica courses.
The state-of-the-art Learning Center further enhances the Frederica golf club experience for members and their guests. This facility offers a full menu of services including computer-based video swing analysis, launch monitor, club fitting and repair, and individual or group lessons. What sets the Learning Center apart from others are the Science and Motion BalanceLab© and PuttLab©, training tools currently used by over 26 European and American tour professionals. The SAM BalanceLab is an ultra-high resolution force plate with 2,500 sensors to evaluate balance and weight transfer during a golf swing. The force signals and synchronized video are recorded in parallel and then interactively analyzed in detail. The SAM PuttLab analyzes the 28 most important parameters of your putting stroke and displays the results in easy to understand graphic reports. The Center's amenities include locker facilities, massage room, bar, screened terrace and TV.
The 35-acre outdoor practice facility includes a short game/wedge area, three putting greens, two chipping greens, a double-sided wedge range and seven driving areas that wrap around the range in order to offer practice in various wind conditions. Every aspect has been designed to simulate real and varied course conditions. The practice range is lined with live oak trees, so players can work on shaping their shots. Practice bunkers include high and low lipped conditions, undulations on the putting greens mimic those on the course, rolls and knolls allow practice on every kind of lie and the turf is carefully kept at fairway height.
